Ho ho ! Well things are going pretty good. I tend to take that from the view that so many relationships fail from lack of respect and sheer ignorance of anothers many needs. Tantra for the New Age (I think it is) by Zitko is a very good intro as it deals ONLY with development of attitudes between couples. It is very much about respect, support, encouragement and development of your partner. My friend is so impressed she is about to read it a second time. This book is well worth adding to your library as it is a beautifully idealised expression. No technique other than suggesting Yab Yum as the ideal. No nous/prana/kundalini circulation. KB> have been really drawn to the hinduism tantric stuff. Ha, very different proposition. If you are into sex then the popularised Hindu viewpoint is the only one. If you are into spiritual sex then it still is. If you are into spiritual development, with a cap D then maybe the Buddhist is better. I have a love for many Hindu aspects. I followed Brahma Kumaris Rajah Yoga for some time as the practices and meditation is beautiful. It is somewhat Hindu based but it is a celibate school and quite renunciation prone in a few other areas. But beautiful. There appears to be Kriya Yoga which I have enquired of in the Tantra echo but know near zero about. KB> maybe i will give some buddhist lit. another go. Please do. As an analyst, the abstractions should appeal to you. It has an asceticism though which is often why it has a somewhat intellectual following. I find the combination with Tantra very satisfying as long as you don't raise much (Hindu) Tantra with the monks/nuns. My nun friend is a clinical phsychologist and president of the local C.G. Jung Society. There are good parallels in Buddhism for psych. thinking. KB> i didn't realize that vajrayana was the mainstream buddhist KB> sect. No, No, it is not. Vajrayana is the Tantric, or esoteric, branch of Tibetan Buddhism. The mainstream is Mahayana. Japan also has two smaller Tantric schools derived from Vajrayana but I don't recall the names. KB> it seems like there are alot of varieties of buddhism, yes? Yes, many. Thai, Ceylon and the southern regions (of Asia) are mostly Theravadin, the first level of Buddhism. Then there is Tibetan Mahayana in two levels. These are roughly the eXoteric schools. Then the eSoteric Vajrayana for six levels and finally Dzog Chen. Dzog Chen is "Total Spiritual Awareness and Enlightenment". Within Tibetan there are four main schools. However the divisions are smaller than say typical western protestant religions. So essentially there is very little difference at all. China I don't know offhand. Probably all represented there, it is so big. India ? I don't know now. Plenty Hindu traces left but your everyday Hindu, I believe, is so far removed from Hindu truth as to be scarcely Hindu at all but I have lost recall of Buddhism in India. Shame on me. Must fly now. Big walk in the morning. *:-) Om Shanti, Mike. 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718
