For instance if I was to tell you that eating pork was bad for you that you probably would still keep eating it, but if I told you God said it was bad to eat to eat pork and it was a sin you wouldn't eat meat for fear of going to hell. Also in the article, it talked about population control and how different various cultures go about controling there populations. The Chinese (still to this day) kill baby girls in order to keep the population down. When the war was going on in the 1940's various people would take their children and orphans to the nuns to take care of. By a source of attempting to control the population, they would smother the children. By doing this, Mr. Proctor stated that they were trying to prevent overpopulation and because of the difficult times that they were trying to prevent a certain number from starving to death. Needless to say the Taurus is constantly being confounded by our behavior. (Giggling.) My poor dad! The copper that I love is usually the darker colored coppers. If they do it in blue, then I've got it. (Grin.) Blue is my color. Everything I own, or mostly, has something blue about it, except my rocks of course, and even then I'll put them in a blue jar if I can find one. Purple is fine, but I love any color of blue. Green is fine too, but blue is my color. The blue that is at the base of a flame is my favorite. Yes, my daughter and I are both a little outside the target-age for Barney'n'Xuxa. ;> It was all the anti-Barney sentiment that made her tune in, with me watching timidly and fearfully over her shoulder. She does like to switch on Xuxa in the morning while waiting for her pal to come over so they can walk to school together, but only leaves it on for a couple minutes. "I want to see what she's wearing" was her explanation. Xuxa's taste in footwear seems to parallel my own somewhat--while peeking over the Kid's shoulder, I noticed she has quite a collection of spike-heeled thigh-hi boots. Since her legs are about five feet longer than mine, she wears them a little better than I; however, I'm pleased to report I look *much* better in purple than does ol' Barney. Soaps--ack!! Personally, I'd rather bbs than watch anything in the morning... but then I'm an admitted bbs-addict. (My name is Rose, and I'm powerless over my modem... Weirdly enough I started out with geneology while a member of the Mormon Church. Since the family had been Mormon for seven generations most of what I ended up doing was collecting the stories and deciding to write the stories of my grandmothers. It was really amazing what would turn up and when. It eventually lead to a change in spiritual beliefs which was essentially shamanic in nature and I found that the "spirits" who I was meeting regularly were the "tutelatry spirits" of the Norse traditions or the Disir. Nearly every culture in the world has it's equivilent. They are accessible...and all you have to do is ask for their help. Just be prepared for some unexpected answers.
