From: Matt Drury Area: MagickNet To: All 15 Dec 97 07:35:00 Subject: Divination tidbit UpdReq To help the seeming restoration of this echo, I offer the following astrological tidbit: When computing natal horoscopes, one often finds the need for specific latitude and longitude information. Not every reference has all of the cities one can name, and even that information may not be as pinpoint as desired. Enter the new mapping services available on the Web. When using, for example, http://maps.yahoo.com, one can get to the general area, then move the map subtly until the desired location - of the hospital, for example - is centered. If you then look carefully in the address line of your browser, you'll see the latitude and longitude to a few decimal places, surely enough for the type of accuracy you seek. 8<=-- 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Matt Drury Area: MagickNet To: Scott McNay 14 Dec 97 22:14:00 Subject: test UpdReq > Well, I'm not really sure what the subject is supposed to be... ;) Ten years ago, it was the definitive magick echo. There's no reason why it can't return to its former glory. 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Scott McNay Area: MagickNet To: Herb Mitchell 21 Dec 97 00:52:36 Subject: MAGICKNET UpdReq *** Herb Mitchell wrote in a message to Scott McNay: > LW> Actually, i wanted some decent convo related to the area > LW> subject, but since it's basically *DEAD*, I'm going to > LW> remove it. > Well, I'm not really sure what the subject is supposed to be... > ;) Its not immediately obvious from looking at the areatag. Oh, I remember reading that. ;) I don't recall seeing an echo named MUNDANE, though; I don't think it's in the list that I got from Jay. Hmm, June 1, 1990. I think that certain parts of the document are obsolete now. ;) --Scott. 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718
