But only after the search could this be realized. GH> > It's your Higher Self. GH>rch. I don't like the expression of 'higher self' - either it is my self or GH>is 'higher', meaning something else. If I were to break your being/existence/entity into its various component parts, there would be You and your physical body on the bottom of the chart, and the Divine Spark or Holy Guardian Angel or Higher Self placed at the top of the chart... Done largely for convenience and to demonstrate the ascent of matter back to the Source... Being geometric about it, it only makes sense to call it a "Higher" self - It's higher up on the chart... But it's still you.. Just a part of you you may or may not be aware of... Somewhat like your appendix. GH> > you are linking into your true Self, and thus your True Will. Nothing bu GH>this point I've overseen so far. I never got an idea what the True Will migh GH>be. tnX To be reasonable poetic about it, True Will can be likened to the orbit of the Moon. It's True Will is to be in a Certain Path around the Earth, at a Certain Velocity, with various other physical factors I have no inkling of, and that is the Proper Place for it in the Cosmos... Anything else leads to disaster. True Will... Your proper orbit. That which you were "Meant To Do"... And with possessions, do you think it Either, both, neither. Qabalistically I am inclined to believe them to be the "Shells" of former carnate beings who have since moved on to bigger, better, brighter things... But some portions of a properly egotistical or world-loving entity may refuse to pass on. There was a supposed "ghost" in my family a few years ago, who had various communiques with my mother... He was my dad's brother, deceased somewhat obviously, and stated that he was staying around for a time in order to keep the ol' man out of the trouble he was trying to get himself into. Perhaps a soul with good intent. Perhaps a hallucination by a distressed wife. Perhaps both. She is somewhat more stable than to hallucinate it... And so far as it goes, I did have a few "Strange Moments" involving what was apparently my deceased uncle... Who knows. If the apparent entity possessed an objective reality, then for whatever reason it was not ready to go back into the meatgrinder of reincarnation/evolution. *shrug* RA>actually a demon possessing the person, or perhaps could it be some sort of RA>reaction to a malevolently minded-magi's spell...Any opinions or ideas would RA>be appreciated... Is there a difference between the two? I have had experiences which appear to have involved what I would call "demons", and they have, on occasion, appeared to "possess" the body of, say, a loved one. Defining whether they have a purely subjective or purely objective reality is impossible, and inconvenient... Given a belief in the "astral planes" and denizens therein, I have to believe there is some objective reality, some "actual demon" involved in the possession... But perhaps, and probably, it is usually a personification and subjective construct for something inherent in the "vehicle" of the possession. I am addicted to nicotine. Medieval doctors would say I have a demon possessing me (and sometimes I would tend to agree), science says my body has developed a dependence upon an addictive substance contained in the tobacco. Which is correct? Do I create the demon by allowing the addiction? *shrug* Are these people who foam and thrash about and curse various divinities and manifest some extraordinary feat of strength possessed by a demon, or is there something in their psyche which has, for whatever reason, "snapped", causing various physiological and psychological transformations? *shrug* Convenience must rule the decision. Whichever interpretation helps solve the problem is the correct one. * SLMR 2.1a * Unable to locate Coffee -- Operator Halted! 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Mephisto Area: MagickNet To: KHEPHERA 11 Oct 96 10:44:00 Subject: Magick styles UpdReq KH>I have to say myself on this one.
