 what crowley meant to use magicK as , is the distinctionbetwene stage 
trickery as opposed to contacting , linking or knowing the various powers of 
the universe (whew).. crowley was kinda a hard ball, but his 'message' as i 
understand it, is that this NEW age is the age of the enlightenment of man. 
we all have ultimate potential now. crowley simply took it upon hisself to 
show the rest of us that it can be done... crowley, along with many others, 
even and especially in the framework of the golden dawn's christian mysticsm 
stressed the fact the the only aspiration of worth, the only goal desired 
after is THE KNOLEDGE AND CONVERSATION OF THE HOLY GUARDIAN ANGEL, the true 
self beyond self. to attune to this personal guardian angel, one would use 
and learn from the banishing(s) (l.b.p.r.) and (for crowley) the invocation 
of the higher genius, called the BORNLESS RITUAL.

 instead of classifying the residue or the magick itself as pollution, it 
seems a better idea to know that things just change.. always changeing, ever 
the same... stability in motion. just like when a person breaths. is 
exhalation pollution. also, i do believe that even the simpelest forms of 
magick create.. even the sex act, that so many take for granted is actually 
intended to create. and from this, neergies are created into our world, and 
the world of dreams.. whaen these forma are actuates, and givven power 
(espeecially over a long period of time) we get large power structures, or 
egregores. like what catholicism did fot the devil, or the sex industry (deep 
topic i'm not here dealing with. don't misunderstand me).
 seems to me that the more dark, painful, wicked, evil ( all personal terms) 
power one creates ( especially with magical training), the more one will 
suffer.  suffering is not bad so long as one can learn how not to suffer that 
way anymore.
 now, also the egregores that we ( hu-MAN) creates/ed is not god , but a 
strange reflection of how we expect god to be. these are not the archtypes, 
are not the gods.
