I remember reading--in one I agree, and was going to respond with the same sentiment, until I came upon your post which expressed it nicely. >I often do Sunset Resh outside in the parking lot, because I like to *see* >Tum in His Setting, in full godform, but using a silent 'loud voice.' IMHO, I almost exclusively perform the adorations outside. I realize this is hardly necessary, and will concede to doing them inside if circumstances require, but I prefer to witness the Sun in all Its phases directly. I admit, however, that it must be quite a sight for Tehuti and Ra-Hoor to see me standing in arcane postures in the pouring rain! :) > it's the heart put into it that 'counts,' not sweeping gestures, dramatic >assumption of godforms, or hollering loud enough to be heard for blocks. >Well, it works for me NEwayz! :> Amen! O.K., I'm probably off in left field somewhere (what else is new) but I have a problem with all this. On the one hand, I adamantly agree that people need not be using these subs for advertisments and attempted personal gain. But, on the other hand, for those unencumbered by group membership and undisciplined in woodworking or seamstressing, knowledge of such services would be to their common good. While I understand the prevalent attitude in the Magical community is for the Magician to construct his or her own implements, those unwilling or unable to do so have often been frustrated in their efforts to attain such equipment, frequently settling on inferior tools for this purpose. Unless such information is distributed freely, and many readers on the subs are unaware of good sources elsewhere, e.g., Mezlim, Gnosis, Llewellyn's New Worlds, etc..., then Magicians of the modern age are guilty of greedily hording information in the tradition of our forebears.
