Well, gee, I gotta check... =) I should be the same Grendel depending on who exactly you are. I am a member of the Ring of Troth and I am the administrator of the Troth-L electronic mailing list that is attempting to get the High Rede and others online and communicating. Who might you be since you seem to know me? Your name is certainly, well, Troth-like but I don't recognize it. The Christians - especially the RC's - have borrowed from just about EVERY other religion. Even Buddha was enshrined as a Catholic saint! The stuff you found is interesting, but I admit I still like the relationship to the precession of the equinoxes, mainly because it fits in with occurrences in previous eras. The transition between astrological eras seems to generate myths that embody the "death" of the major symbol of the passing era. E.g. the end of the Gemini era produced Cain/Abel, Damon/Pythias style myths, in which one member of a set of "twins" is killed. The end of the Taurus era produced Aries heros slaying Taurean bulls and Scorpian monsters. The end of the Aries era produced the myth of Christ as the "Lamb" or Ram of Aries being sacrificed, thus ushering in the Age of the Fishes. * SLMR 2.1a * Help stamp out Gerald Schueler. 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718
