UpdReq Your father sounds like one of the rare ones, who is willing to see the other point of view even if he doesn't agree with it. There are not too many like that, unfortunately. If there was more open-mindedness and less prejudice, there wouldn't of been things like the Spanish Inquisition or the great Witch Hunts of the 16th and 17th centuries. While the Salem Witch trials were very much overblown(only one person was executed), the trials in England and continental Europe were very much understated (thousands were killed). If I can get just ONE person to have an open mind, I feel that I have succeeded in spreading the Light of all wisdom. I enjoy talking and showing people that pagans are not rabid, mad satannist who are out to sacrifice their children(there are a few sickos, however). Take care and give your father our best wishes. Blessed Be. Most of the current-day fundamentalist churches derive from a tradition in which ignorance of everything was a deliberately and consciously inculcated proof of personal salvation. Check out H.L. Mencken's articles about the Scopes "Monkey" Trials for a view of fundamentalism at its most basic level. Nothing's changed in 65 years. * SLMR 2.1a * Jesus saves...Passes to Moses...He shoots...
