Well I can only say that it just shows how little the person obviously knows, and he obviously can't be a christian, or come to that, any God fearing person. If he is then he should know better. 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Draco] Area: MagickNet To: renna 2 May 91 01:28:54 Subject: Re: Vortex UpdReq RE: "Terminology" I think you're making a really good point that all teachers and guides should pay attention to. People just entering craft or magick for the first time are immediately assaulted with multiple belief systems, jargon, propaganda and concepts. It's no wonder some folks get confused. Those of us who are a little more experienced have lengthy animated conversations while new folk stand by trying to sort it all out. To avoid seeming ignorant, some even try to absorb the spirit of your conversation and then get confused when they feel they've "got it" then realize they don't. I definitely urge all instructors to write and release a definition of terms sheet at all classes. On the other hand, there are numerous problems created within the community by the use and abuse of certain terms. Maybe we should change terms....... 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Draco Area: MagickNet To: rendel 2 May 91 01:43:54 Subject: Re: Workings With the Elements UpdReq --- * Origin: BLACK ICE - Warrior WOC (Opus 1:382/7) 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Draco Area: MagickNet To: rendel 2 May 91 01:45:24 Subject: Re: Workings With the Elements UpdReq The system of elementals that I work with involves a step-by-step progression of elemental workings. In the system that I use, there are 16 elementals. By calling in each elemental 1 at a time over a series of 16 rituals, one can become familiar with the basic quality of all primary elements. How I do it goes like this: 1 - I prepare myself for a working by fasting, meditation and a hybrid version of the LBRP. 2 - Then, I consecrate my temple space and prepare it for a working. 3 - I set my 4 watchtowers beginning in the east. 4 - Then I set the 4 angles beginning in the SE. 5 - At this point I wish to establish a vortex of energy that will be used later to draw in the elemental energy. I do this by invoking the highest order of being that corresponds to each of the 4 cardinal directions. (Such as the 4 sons of Horus). What this does is get the spiritual realm primed to transmit the energy I am seeking. At this point, I have established the elemental Octagram. 6 - With my sword, I draw an invoking spiral around all the 8 nodes of the Octagram, then include the Ultra and Mezo points energizing everything. Thus the motion of the vortex is established and we are ready to start tapping energy. 7 - Invoke the energy by chanting the appropriate Enochian call three times. 8 - When you are through, give salute to each of the nodes, draw a sealing spiral around each, leave the circle, it's Miller time... This is a very basic outline of my process. It isn't original, but it is unique. You can basically take this structure and fill int the details or I could be persuaded to share my rituals if your friend wishes.... 718499927771849992777184999277718499927771849992777184999277718 From: Draco Area: MagickNet To: hilip Cavanagh 2 May 91 02:09:12 Subject: Re: As I posted before UpdReq I have a lot of various text files gleaned from such sources as Weirdbase that were on some of the systems in the beginning days of MagickNet. You're welcome to it. Any of Scott Cunningham's books, Janet and Stewart Farrar's books, Positive Magic by Marion Weinstein, Rainbow Bridge Visualization by Two Disciples, Silva Mind Control Method by Jose Silva. Alex Sanders Lectures and The Book of Light by Lady Sara are two new books I have just picked up and look pretty good. Ed Fitch is another good author of books, Rites from the Crystal Well and his books on Norse Magick. He will also be comming out with some new books soon. Ellen Reed, her books on The Witches Tarot, and The Goddess and The Tree are good too. There are many good books on these subjects, my process of picking out a book from a bookstore is, first I look through it. Then, if it contains information that I need and I can afford it I buy it. I have been draw to certain books by letting my senses do the walking too. I also look ay my friends libraries and they will often loan me books or recomend books to me. As far as non Wiccan material goes, I've read a few other books but, can't say that I could recomend them. If you are interested in learning Wicca, the books by Wiccan authors are the best. Visualization and Mind control is another thing you need to learn, controling the ways in which energy flows through you and around you is very important. Blessed Be!
