KB> but, i really don't have any idea of where to start. Well, it's really up to you. I found that I was more interested in the whole 30 Aethyr system more than the Elemental work, so I've concen- trated on scrying there. In addition, I was attracted to working with the Tablet of Spirit, thus my scrying of EHNB last year, and the ritual based it that we did for our Autumnal Equinox ritual last year. My suggestion would be to use the basic system laid out in ESM (but I prefer my pronunciation key over the G.D. pseudo-Hebrew system in the book), and try a scrying of the 30th Aethyr, TEX (fewer keys to read than the elementals, too). Later, try an elemental scrying to see which -if either- you prefer doing. Remember to experiment -- I found that scrying with my black mirror produced no effects, but when I laid down and pressed a small quartz crystal to my Ajna, the results were almost instantaneous. Hi Kayla I haven't the degree of personal knowledge of Enochia that some of the folks here have, but can pass on some general advice that is pretty common amongst Enochian magicians I know. I have worked with the system as it was received by Dee (IOW, not GD-form), but not extensively. My interest lies in other areas :) But, for what they are worth, the most common suggestions are: 1) throw out anything you have with Schueler's name on it :) 2) be inspired by Crowley's visions, but don't try to emulate his practices, as his knowledge of Enochia was fairly limited, and idiosyncratic. 3) read the better works about Dee and the system (eg, French's biography, Turner's Elizabethan Magic and Heptarchia Mystica, James's Enochian Evocation, Laycock's Dictionary, the Casaubon & etc), but bear in mind that the magical books all contain errors of one sort or another. Robin Cousin's translation of Liber Scientiae, and in the Casaubon, the reversing of the Holy Table and numerous printing errors, for example. 4) be aware of the limitations of the GD system of "Enochia" 5) construct *yourself* the table, seals, talismans, floor covering, ring, lamen, & etc., and choose your scrying mirror/stone with some care. 6) spend at least two years constructing the magical framework within which the Enochian system sits - typically, create the temples within the terrestrial, celestial and supercelestial realms, and get used to working with the guardians in each. 7) when the Temple is completed in the terrestrial realms (with table, etc), and you are happy with the Temples in the other realms, perform the first opening ritual with someone who has a reasonable amount of experience with the angelic energy, and set the seals and channels in place. I've got to number 7, so that must be all ;-) Hope these give you some ideas... as long as you bear in mind my limitations in this area, I'd be happy to chat some more :) B*B Julia 201434369420143436942014343694201434369420143436942014343694718 From: Julia Phillips Area: ENOCHIAN To: Josh Norton 10 Apr 94 13:34:06 Subject: enochian/goetic ritu UpdReq Hello Josh! 10 Apr 94 00:05, MATTHEW SANDOW wrote to JOSH NORTON: MS> Josh would you please send a copy of these, preferrably on 3.5" MS> (they bend less in transit ;) to Julia Phillips and myself.
