We're the Rocky Mountain Pagan Journal, and we believe.... We {the editors} believe that there is but one set of mysteries, if you will, for the whole human race. Our particular definition of "Pagan" includes those religious systems which, working in accord with Nature, Magical Technology, and the basic order of the universe, have as their aim the teaching of the mysteries, rather than the teaching of religion or politics. We believe that most of the operative non-Pagan religions today are more involved with teaching religion than "the myster- ies". We embrace some of the views of Shamanism: altered states of conscious ness, personal contact and free flow of information between the practitioner and the universe. We will embrace most anything which attempts to assist the race as a whole to comprehend its purpose and ultimate destiny. We believe that there is no definite boundary between religion and science. Mathematics, and its offspring geometry and astronomy, can and do teach valuable spiritual lessons, and for that reason must be integrated into a valid religious system. The RMPJ is published 6 times during the year; February, April, June, August, October, and December. DEADLINES: The 15th of the month previous to publication. We welcome articles, poetry, news, art work and line drawings (8in. X 10in. max.), reviews, rituals, etc. We do ask, however, that you not UNFAIRLY promote any race, cultural group, either sex, or any magical group or tradition above another; and that you NOT encourage the pollution or destruction of the Earth and/or the animals and plants with whom we share it. We reserve the right to correct obvious mistakes in spelling, syntax and grammar, and to edit where necessary to fit available space. Note: The materials we receive first get typed up first and pasted up first, so "deadline- pushers" may find their materials edited. Each issue of the Rocky Mountain Pagan Journal is published by High Plains Arts and Sciences, a non-profit Corporation, under a Public Domain Copyright, which entitles any person or group of persons to reproduce, in whole or in part, in any form whatsoever, any material contained therein; without restriction, as long as articles are not condensed or abbreviated in any fashion, and credit is given the original author or artist!!
