LEV 26:40  If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their
fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also
they have walked contrary unto me;
 
LEV 26:41  And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them
into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled,
and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:
 
LEV 26:42  Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant
with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will
remember the land.
 
NUM 21:7  Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we
have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take
away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
 
DEU 4:29  But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find
him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
 
DEU 4:30  When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee,
even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient

whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
 
DEU 30:4  If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from
thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
 
DEU 30:5  And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers
possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply
thee above thy fathers.
 
DEU 30:6  And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy
seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that
thou mayest live.
 
DEU 30:7  And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and
on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
 
DEU 30:8  And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his
commandments which I command thee this day.
 
DEU 30:9  And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine
hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit
of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he
rejoiced over thy fathers:
 
DEU 30:10  If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his
commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if
thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
 
DEU 32:29  O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would
consider their latter end!
 
2SA 24:10  And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people.
And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and
now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have

1KI 8:33  When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they
have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name,
and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house:
 
1KI 8:34  Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel,
and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.
 
1KI 8:35  When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned
against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn
from their sin, when thou afflictest them:
 
1KI 8:36  Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of
thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk,
and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an
inheritance.
 
1KI 8:37  If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting,
mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the
land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;
 
1KI 8:38  What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy
people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and
spread forth his hands toward this house:
 
1KI 8:39  Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and
give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou,
even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)
 
1KI 8:40  That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which
thou gavest unto our fathers.
 
1KI 8:41  Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but
cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake;
 
1KI 8:42  (For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of
thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;
 
1KI 8:43  Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that
the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy
name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this
house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.
 
1KI 8:44  If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou
shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast
chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:
 
1KI 8:45  Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and
maintain their cause.
 
1KI 8:46  If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and
thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them
away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;
 
1KI 8:47  Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were
carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of
them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done
perversely, we have committed wickedness;
 
1KI 8:48  And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul,
in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee
toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou
hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:
 
1KI 8:49  Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy
dwelling place, and maintain their cause,
 
1KI 8:50  And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their
transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them
compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion
on them:
 
2CH 7:14  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear
from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
 
2CH 29:6  For our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the
eyes of the LORD our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their
faces from the habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs.
 
2CH 30:6  So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes
throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king,
saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac,
and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of
the hand of the kings of Assyria.
 
2CH 30:7  And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which
trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to
desolation, as ye see.
 
2CH 30:8  Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves
unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever:
and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from
you.
 
2CH 30:9  For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children
shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall
come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and
will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
 
EZR 9:4  Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the
God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away;
and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.
 
EZR 9:6  And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee,
my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is
grown up unto the heavens.
 
EZR 9:10  And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? for we have forsaken
thy commandments,
 
EZR 9:13  And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our
great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our
iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;
 
EZR 9:14  Should we again break thy commandments, and join in affinity with the
people of these abominations? wouldest not thou be angry with us till thou hadst
consumed us, so that there should be no remnant nor escaping?
 
NEH 1:6  Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest
hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for
the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of
Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have
sinned.
 
NEH 1:7  We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the
commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy
servant Moses.
 
NEH 1:9  But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though
there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I
gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen
to set my name there.
 
NEH 9:33  Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast
done right, but we have done wickedly:
 
NEH 9:34  Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers,
kept thy law, nor hearkened unto thy commandments and thy testimonies, wherewith
thou didst testify against them.
 
NEH 9:35  For they have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy great
goodness that thou gavest them, and in the large and fat land which thou gavest
before them, neither turned they from their wicked works.

there any rest in my bones because of my sin.
 
PSA 38:4  For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they
are too heavy for me.

PSA 40:12  For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have
taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the
hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
 
PSA 41:4  I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned

PSA 51:1  Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according
unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

delightest not in burnt offering.
 
PSA 51:17  The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite
heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

ISA 64:6  But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as
filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind,
have taken us away.
 
ISA 64:7  And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself
to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us,
because of our iniquities.
 
JER 3:4  Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide
of my youth?
 
JER 3:12  Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou
backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon
you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.
 
JER 3:13  Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against
the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green
tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.
 
JER 3:14  Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto
you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring
you to Zion:
 
JER 3:19  But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a
pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt
call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.
 
JER 3:21  A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of
the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have
forgotten the LORD their God.
 
JER 3:22  Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings.
Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.
 
JER 3:25  We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have
sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto
this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.
 
JER 4:1  If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if
thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not
remove.
 
JER 4:2  And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in
righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall
they glory.
 
JER 4:3  For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up
your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.
 
JER 4:4  Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your
heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth
like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
 
 
JER 4:14  O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be
saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?
 
JER 6:8  Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from thee; lest I
make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.
 
JER 6:16  Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the
old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for
your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
 
JER 7:5  For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly
execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
 
JER 7:7  Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave
to your fathers, for ever and ever.
 
JER 8:14  Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the
defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God hath put us to
silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the
LORD.
 
JER 13:15  Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD hath spoken.
 
JER 13:16  Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before
your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn
it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.
 
JER 14:7  O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy
name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee.
 
JER 14:20  We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our
fathers: for we have sinned against thee.
 
JER 18:8  If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil,
I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
 
JER 18:11  Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the
inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil
against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his
evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.
 
JER 24:7  And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they
shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with
their whole heart.
 
JER 25:5  They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the
evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and
to your fathers for ever and ever:
 
JER 26:3  If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that
I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil
of their doings.
 
JER 26:13  Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of
the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath
pronounced against you.
 
JER 31:9  They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them:
I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein
they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my
firstborn.
 
JER 31:18  I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast
chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn
thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God.
 
JER 31:19  Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was
instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because
I did bear the reproach of my youth.
 
JER 36:3  It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I
purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that
I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.
 
JER 36:7  It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and
will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury
that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.
 
JER 50:4  In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of
Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping:
they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.
 
JER 50:5  They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying,
Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall
not be forgotten.
 
LAM 3:40  Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.
 
EZE 7:16  But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the
mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his

EZE 12:3  Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and
remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another
place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious
house.
 
EZE 14:6  Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all
your abominations.
 
EZE 16:61  Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt
receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee
for daughters, but not by thy covenant.
 
EZE 16:62  And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that
I am the LORD:
 
EZE 16:63  That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy
mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that
thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.
 
EZE 18:21  But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed,
and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely
live, he shall not die.
 
EZE 18:22  All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be
mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
 
EZE 18:23  Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord
GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
 
EZE 18:27  Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he
hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul
alive.
 
EZE 18:28  Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions
that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
 
EZE 18:30  Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to
his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your
transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
 
EZE 18:31  Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have
transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O
house of Israel?
 
EZE 20:43  And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein
ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all
your evils that ye have committed.
 
EZE 33:10  Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye
speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away
in them, how should we then live?
 
EZE 33:11  Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in
the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn
ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
 
EZE 33:12  Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The
righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his
transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in
the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able
to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.
 
EZE 37:23  Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor
with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will
save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will
cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
 
DAN 4:27  Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break
off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the
poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.
 
DAN 9:5  We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly,
and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
 
DAN 9:6  Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake

have trespassed against thee.
 
DAN 10:12  Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that
thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God,
thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
 
HOS 2:7  And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them;
and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go
and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.

JOE 1:14  Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all
the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto

heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

AMO 4:12  Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do
this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
 
AMO 5:6  Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the
house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.
