2SA 23:3  The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth
over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.  

2SA 23:4  And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even
a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by
clear shining after rain.  

ISA 42:6  I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine
hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a
light of the Gentiles;  

ISA 42:7  To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison,
and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.  

ISA 61:1  The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed
me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the
brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the
prison to them that are bound;  

ISA 61:2  To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance
of our God; to comfort all that mourn;  

ISA 61:3  To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for
ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of
heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the
LORD, that he might be glorified.  

DAN 9:24  Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city,
to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make
reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to
seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.  

DAN 9:27  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the
midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and
for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the
consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.  

MIC 5:2  But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands
of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in
Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.  

ZEC 13:1  In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and
to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.  

MAL 3:2  But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he
appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:  

MAL 3:3  And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall
purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer
unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.  

MAT 1:21  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS:
for he shall save his people from their sins.  

MAT 3:11  I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh
after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall
baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:  

MAT 3:12  Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and
gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with
unquenchable fire.  

MAT 4:23  And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and
preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all
manner of disease among the people.  

MAT 5:17  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not
come to destroy, but to fulfil.  

MAT 9:13  But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not
sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.  

MAT 10:34  Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send
peace, but a sword.  

MAT 10:35  For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the
daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 


MAT 10:36  And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.  

MAT 15:24  But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of
the house of Israel.  

MAT 18:11  For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.  

MAT 18:12  How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone
astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and
seeketh that which is gone astray?  

MAT 18:13  And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth
more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.  

MAT 18:14  Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that
one of these little ones should perish.  

MAT 20:28  Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to
minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.  

MAR 1:38  And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may
preach there also: for therefore came I forth.  

MAR 2:15  And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many
publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there
were many, and they followed him.  

MAR 2:16  And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and
sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh
with publicans and sinners?  

MAR 2:17  When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no
need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous,
but sinners to repentance.  

MAR 2:18  And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they
come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast,
but thy disciples fast not?  

MAR 2:19  And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast,
while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with
them, they cannot fast.  

MAR 2:20  But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from
them, and then shall they fast in those days.  

MAR 2:21  No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the
new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made
worse.  

MAR 2:22  And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth
burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but
new wine must be put into new bottles.  

LUK 1:78  Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on
high hath visited us,  

LUK 1:79  To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.  

LUK 2:30  For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,  

LUK 2:31  Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;  

LUK 2:32  A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.  

LUK 2:34  And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this
child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign
which shall be spoken against;  

LUK 2:35  (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the
thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.  

LUK 2:38  And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and
spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.  

LUK 4:18  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to
preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to
preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set
at liberty them that are bruised,  

LUK 4:19  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.  

LUK 8:1  And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and
village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the
twelve were with him,  

LUK 12:49  I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be
already kindled?  

LUK 12:50  But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened
till it be accomplished!  

LUK 12:51  Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay;
but rather division:  

LUK 12:52  For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three
against two, and two against three.  

LUK 12:53  The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the
father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother;
the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against
her mother in law.  

LUK 24:26  Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his
glory?  

LUK 24:46  And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to
suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:  

LUK 24:47  And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his
name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.  

JOH 3:13  And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from
heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.  

JOH 3:14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the
Son of man be lifted up:  

JOH 3:15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal
life.  

JOH 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  

JOH 3:17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through him might be saved.  

JOH 4:34  Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me,
and to finish his work.  

JOH 6:51  I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of
this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh,
which I will give for the life of the world.  

JOH 8:12  Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of
life.  

JOH 9:39  And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they
which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.  

JOH 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more
abundantly.  

JOH 11:50  Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for
the people, and that the whole nation perish not.  

JOH 11:51  And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he
prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;  

JOH 11:52  And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together
in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.  

JOH 12:27  Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from
this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.  

JOH 12:46  I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me
should not abide in darkness.  

JOH 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I
came not to judge the world, but to save the world.  

JOH 18:37  Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered,
Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I
into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of
the truth heareth my voice.  

ACT 5:31  Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour,
for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.  

ACT 10:43  To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever
believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.  

ACT 26:23  That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that
should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the
Gentiles.  

ROM 4:25  Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our
justification.  

ROM 5:6  For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the
ungodly.  

ROM 5:7  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a
good man some would even dare to die.  

ROM 8:3  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh,
God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned
sin in the flesh:  

ROM 8:4  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk
not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  

ROM 10:4  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that
believeth.  

ROM 14:9  For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might
be Lord both of the dead and living.  

ROM 15:8  Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the
truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:  

ROM 15:9  And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is
written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto
thy name.  

2CO 5:14  For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if
one died for all, then were all dead:  

2CO 5:15  And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth
live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.  

GAL 1:3  Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus
Christ,  

GAL 1:4  Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this
present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:  

GAL 4:4  But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made

adoption of sons.  

EPH 4:10  He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all

1TI 1:15  This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ
Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.  

HEB 2:9  But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the
suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God
should taste death for every man.  

HEB 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he
also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy
him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  

HEB 2:15  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime
subject to bondage.  

HEB 2:18  For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to
succour them that are tempted.  

HEB 9:26  For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the
world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by
the sacrifice of himself.  

1JO 3:5  And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is
no sin.  

1JO 3:8  He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the
beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy
the works of the devil.  

1JO 4:10  Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent
his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
